Frame House

INTRODUCTION

The project is located at Southridge subdivision, Tagaytay. The owner wants to build their vacation house when they come home to Philippines. They want the house to be a "haven".

DESIGN CONSIDERATION

The environment. The environment of the site is very interesting. The view from the rear portion of the site is hills of pineapple plantation, while the front portion of the house's view is the big and beautiful houses of the neighborhood. The place is very peaceful; a place where every family would wish to stay.

The lot. The lot area is 204 sq.m with an irregular shape. This is an advantage to play around within the lot and design an interesting and functional layout of the house.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Picture Frame. The main concept is generated in order to meet the need of the owner: to have memorable vacation. By taking advantage of the views in the environment from the site, we incorporated the frame concept in the design. We intend to put into a frame the views from the environment, their activities, the plantation, and the community. It is said that one of the best relaxation activity is to gaze at a peaceful environment.
